The purpose of Ullr is to pay homage to Ullr, and to encourage him to bless our area with abundant snow. Hosted by Great River Outfitters, Path of Life Garden and Paradise Sports.

In Norse mythology Ullr (pronounced Oool-er) was the Winter God. He was the son of Sif and the stepson of Thor, the “God of Thunder.” Ullr loved the cold, snow, and delighted in traveling over the country on his skis or skates. He also delighted in the chase, and pursued his game through the Northern Forests.

So, this time of year we hail Ullr hoping he will bring us a little snow (okay A LOT of snow). By what the forecasters are saying, it looks as if Ullr will be making his presence on 28 Jan 2012 this year. And to celebrate Ullr, Great River Outfitters, Path of Life Garden and Paradise Sports is hosting several events the most fun one of all is the Parade. If you want to see some crazy outfits then you need to be at Great River Outfitters on Saturday, January 28th! From 1:00pm to 6:00pm
