Great River Outfitters
GRO is an outdoor adventure outfitting company located in Windsor, Vermont. We operate in all 4 seasons and host a broad range of adventurous outdoor activities for all ages and skill levels, from canoeing, kayaking, rafting, river tubing and SUPaddle Boards! You can also camp here in the sumer in our deluxe tents in the Path of Life Garden and in the winter we have a variety of activities and guided trips. We have approximately five miles of trails for snowshoeing, fat tire bikes as well as sleigh rides and carriage rides offered at the Fitch Family Farm. We cater to individuals, families and large groups looking for unique, fun and exciting things to do in New England; family reunions, retreats, weddings, banquets, parties and special events. We also offer lessons for kayaking, land navigation, winter survival camping, outdoor leadership, yoga and much more. We are located right next to the ever popular Path of Life Sculpture Garden, and have everything you need to get outdoors, on the river, in the woods or on the 300 + acres of trails woods and fields next to our shop.

Thursday Evenings are creative at Great River Outfitters and Artisan Eats Vt ! You want to know how to spend an afternoon and evening with friends and family? Sign up for our Sip & Paint Nights that include so much more! Start with a tour of the Path of Life Sculpture Garden at Great River Outfitters to get your creative zen fueled. Then come inside to enjoy a warm fire and the delectable cuisine at Artisan Eats Vt., where you will start your painting session from a professional artist from Tip Top Pottery. Make it extra fun and bring your favorite wine or beverage to enjoy while you explore your artistic flare. Or make a day of it and come early to enjoy all that Artisan Park has to offer.
In the Summer & Fall
We offer inexpensive float trips; canoes, kayaks, our NEW Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP), rafts and river tubes on a pristine section of the Connecticut River. This particular stretch of river is suitable for people of all ages and paddling abilities. In conjunction, we offer unique camping opportunities on the river, spanning anywhere from 1-5 days or more! We have four of our own Deluxe three-room Outfitter Tents in the Path of Life Garden that sleep six people each on cots. We provide everything you will need except food and cloths to make planning your camping trip easy! Book a Sunrise Yoga session for the morning as part of your camping stay. Yoga classes take place weekly by reservation in The Path of Life Garden during the summer months. Or if you are looking for a more primitive experience you can use your own tent and paddle down the river to an island campsite or pitch your own tent in our personal tent sites. Our fleet of canoes, kayaks, rafts, SUP Boards and river tubes accommodates individual explorers, families, youth groups, office outings and family reunions.We provide all necessary gear, transportation and equipment. The Path of Life Garden
POL Garden is one of a kind. The Path of Life Garden is a landscape shaped by a revelation of the human spirit and inspired by our relationship with the natural world. Visitors travel through 18 works of art illustrating elements that constitute human life. In doing so, spectator is transformed into participant, engaging the 14 acres of sculptures and the surrounding expanse. Accented by the Connecticut River, the Path of Life Garden accommodates reunions, retreats, weddings, banquets, parties and special events, hiking, picnicking, yoga/meditation and unique camping opportunities. The garden is enjoyed by people of all ages and was recently featured in Vermont Life and Pastoral Magazine.
NEW 2018! Stand Up Paddle Boards Come get your full body work out on our NEW SUP boards. ! Ocean Kayak- Nalu series, converts easily from a SUP Board to a sit on top kayak. The Nalu is stable yet maneuverable, what ever you decide, this is an enjoyable experience for all skill levels.
NEW 2017! Fat Tire Bikes see what the excitement is about! Our 4 season bikes offer greater floatation over snow and sand while retaining comfort, reliability and stability.

In the Winter & Spring
We offer unique outdoor activities that include dog-sledding, sleigh rides, moonlight snowshoe and NEW 2017! Fat Tire Bike adventures. In addition to specialized trips, we run a daily rental program for snowshoeing and Fat Tire Bikes on our extensive, well-groomed trail network. Most of our Winter activities occur on 100 to 300 acres of farm fields and forest that are next to our shop and 14-acres in the Path of Life Garden. For more extreme terrain, we access Mt.
