PRIVACY POLICY:
Great River Outfitters & The Path of Life collects your name, email address, and billing information when you make a purchase. This information is used to process your order, send you updates, and provide you with customer support. We share this information with our payment processor to process your transaction. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. If you have any questions, please contact our office at info@greatriveroutfitters.com

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Once you are ready to confirm your trip or adventure with us and the dates have been approved, the total trip or adventure cost will be required to secure your scheduled date(s) on our calendar. Once the reservation is confirmed, we will be committed to preparing for your adventure.   

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR TRIP:

  • 7 days prior: you'll get back your entire deposit, minus a $20 administration fee.

  • 3-6 days prior: you will be refunded half the cost of your trip (or a $20 administration fee will be levied against the balance, whichever is greater).

  • Under 3 days, or fail to show up, you will forfeit the entire balance of the trip.

  • If in the case there is an unavoidable circumstance due to accident, illness or death in the family it will be at the sole discretion of Great River Outfitters to offer a credit toward a future trip (additional documentation may be required).

  • All trips or adventures depart rain or shine except if there is a hazardous situation such as but not limited to High Winds, Electrical Storms and/or High-Water Levels.

  • As an Outfitter, we monitor the weather in our area extremely close for your safety.

  • If Great River Outfitters cancels your trip or adventure due to hazards, unsafe weather or water conditions or any other reasons beyond our control, guests will receive full credit back toward a future trip.

LARGE GROUP / LARGE EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY: 
(The Cancellation Policy outlined above applies with the following stipulations included)

  • The entire balance of your trip will be charged 14 days prior to your trip/ event. (*Large events are charged 50% deposit at time of booking)

  • Large Groups of 20 people or more requires a cancellation 14 days prior to your scheduled trip for a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel under 14 days prior to your trip, 50% of your trip cost will be refunded. Under 7 days no refund is given.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
Great River Outfitters will contact you via text message, phone, and/or email to notify you of any changes to your reservation due to inclement weather. The safety and comfort of our guests is first and foremost and we use several websites to monitor the weather using the information provided by NOAA [National Oceanic and Atmospheric Admin].  

Great River Outfitters does adhere to our cancelation policy and may not cancel your trip until up to 2 hours prior to your scheduled trip time. Please keep in mind that the weather can be very different at our location than it is within a 20-mile radius, so we are very decisive about our area.

ADDITIONAL FEES/ TIME OVER DURATION:
If you make a reservation for our Float Trips, we offer different length trips based on distance and time for these specifically.  Please adhere to the time and distance of the trip you signed up for.  Should you go over the time allowance, it is at the discretion of G.R.O. to charge you/your group additional fees per 1/2-hour increment. 

**Large Groups, Festivals & Extenuation circumstance - Additional transportation fees may apply.

REBOOKING POLICY:
Sometimes cancellation requests by the customer are approved when it is under 7 days or 3 days prior to the trip date. In that case a person may reschedule their current reservation or receive credit to rebook in the future. Some limitations and sometimes fees do apply to this situation, these are:

  • A $20 cancel/ rebook fee

  • If you are to reschedule your trip to a future date it must be made in the current season.

  • If you have credit to use in the future certain dates may be restricted and/or a time limit to use the credit as well as all the credit must be used or forfeiture of the remaining credit after the trip has been rebooked.

  • If you cancel/rebook you are not eligible for a future refund or rebooking.

 **Consideration for rebooking your trip is made on a case-by-case basis. If you are considering requesting your trip to be rebooked, please send your request to Nicki at info@greatriveroutfitters.com or call 802-674-9933.

ALCOHOL POLICY – RIVER TRIPS:
Bringing alcohol with you on a river trip is permissible under these specific guidelines:

  • You must be 21 years of age or older to bring alcohol on a river trip.

  • Upon check-in each person must sign a release of liability waiver and provide a valid photo ID such as a valid driver’s license or state ID.

  • Minor children (0 – 17 years) must be accompanied by an adult, parent, or legal guardian.

  • Adults under the legal age to consume alcohol (18 – 20 years) must be accompanied by a parent if any alcohol is in the possession of the group. If a parent is not present, then Great River Outfitters will confiscate alcohol. Upon your return from your river trip, GRO will return the alcohol to an adult of a legal age to be in possession of the alcoholic substance. **Unless you are also camping in the POL Garden and then guidelines #3-#6 for camping in the POL Garden will take effect. **

  • Great River Outfitters will limit alcohol consumption to one 12oz beverage per person/ per 2-hour time frame during our river trips. Any alcohol that exceeds this restriction will be left behind and can be locked in your vehicle or left with GRO staff to hold for you until you return.

  • Great River Outfitters reserves the right to search through and seize all coolers if any of the employees suspect that the guidelines are not being adhered to.

  • Great River Outfitters reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated or impaired and may be a danger to themselves or others while participating in any GRO or POL activities.

 

ALCOHOL POLICY – CAMPING IN THE PATH OF LIFE:
Bringing alcohol into the Path of Life Garden is permissible under these specific guidelines:

  • You must be 21 years of age or older to book a camping stay with us in the Path of Life Garden with us.

  • Upon check-in each person must sign a release of liability waiver and provide a valid photo ID such as a valid driver’s license or state ID.

  • Minor children must be accompanied by an adult, parent, or legal guardian.

  • Adults under the legal age to consume alcohol must be accompanied by a parent if any alcohol is in the possession of the group. If a parent is not present, then Great River Outfitters will confiscate alcohol. The alcohol will be returned to you upon checkout of your campsite, to an adult of legal age to be in possession of an alcoholic substance.

  • Great River Outfitters reserves the right to search for all coolers if it is suspected that any of these guidelines are being adhered to.

  • Great River Outfitters reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated and may be a danger to themselves or others while participating in any GRO or POL activities.
