GRO is an outdoor adventure outfitting company located in Windsor, Vermont. We operate from May 15th to October 15th hosting a broad range of adventerous outdoor activities for all ages and skill levels, from canoeing, kayaking, rafting, river tubing and SUPaddle Boards! You can also camp here during the summer months in our deluxe tents in the Path of Life Garden. We have approximately five miles of trails for fat tire biking around the Sculpture Garden and through fields following the Connecticut River. We cater to individuals, families and large groups looking for unique, fun and exciting things to do in New England; family reunions, retreats, weddings, banquets, parties and special events. We also offer lessons for kayaking, land navigation, winter survival camping, outdoor leadership, yoga and much more. We are located right next to the ever popular Path of Life Sculpture Garden, and all of our trips include admission to the Sculptre Garden. We have everything you need to get outdoors, on the river, in the woods or on the 300 + acres of trails woods and fields next to our shop. Come see us today, we look forward to your trip!

In the Summer & Fall
We offer inexpensive float trips; canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards (SUP), rafts and river tubes on a pristine section of the Connecticut River. This particular stretch of river is suitable for people of all ages and paddling abilities. In conjunction, we offer unique camping opportunities on the river, spanning anywhere from 1-5 days or more! We have four of our own Deluxe three-room Outfitter Tents in the Path of Life Garden that sleep six people each on cots. We provide everything you will need except food and cloths to make planning your camping trip easy! Or if you are looking for a more primitive experience you can use your own tent and paddle down the river to an island campsite or pitch your own tent in our personal tent sites. Our fleet of canoes, kayaks, rafts, SUP Boards and river tubes accommodates individual explorers, families, youth groups, office outings and family reunions.We provide all necessary gear, transportation and equipment. During the autumn months we make available an extremely underrated way to experience Vermont's spectacular foliage by way of the river! Stand up paddle boards: Come get your full body work out on our NEW SUP boards. ! Ocean Kayak- Nalu series, converts easily from a SUP Board to a sit on top kayak. The Nalu is stable yet maneuverable, what ever you decide, this is an enjoyable experience for all skill levels.

The Path of Life Garden
POL Garden is one of a kind. The Path of Life Garden is a landscape shaped by a revelation of the human spirit and inspired by our relationship with the natural world. Visitors travel through 18 works of art illustrating elements that constitute human life. In doing so, spectator is transformed into participant, engaging the 14 acres of sculptures and the surrounding expanse. Accented by the Connecticut River, the Path of Life Garden accommodates reunions, retreats, weddings, banquets, parties and special events, hiking, picnicking, yoga/meditation and unique camping opportunities. The garden is enjoyed by people of all ages and was recently featured in Vermont Life and Pastoral Magazine.
